Ed started in the Security Industry in 1987 for TNT Security / Group 4 Securitas. Ed started a Security Company for the BGC Group of companies in 1995 known as BGC Security. BGC Security ceased in operations in 1997, 2 years later as the group decided they wanted to focus on there core business.
Ed then with the clientele from BGC Security merged operations with Consolidated Security Systems in Western Australia, the business was sold to Signature Security 4 years later. Ed was approached by MSA Guards and Patrols to be the General Manager of Operations which included, Mobile Patrols, Static Guarding, Electronic Security and Acquisitions. During his time at MSA the company grew from 7 Patrol Vehicles to 20 and Licensed Security staff from 100 to 350. Ed left MSA and in conjunction with Churches of Christ Homes built an A1 Monitoring Facility in West Perth known as Direct link. Part of his duties were to Manage and build the business to be profitable and during this time Ed was placed in charge of Lock It Locksmiths in Cottesloe Western Australia. Churches of Christ Homes decided a few years later that they also wanted to focus back on there core business and sold off the company to a few different companies one being Allcare Monitoring Services. After finishing with Churches of Christ Homes, Ed was approached by David Pearson who owned Checkpoint Security Products to be the General Manager as Dave wanted to move back to Melbourne with his wife to start a different business. Ed soon built the business with some of the largest companies in Australia. Ed now is the Director of Alarm Assets Group.
